Travel Research Is Worth My Time

I should probably start a diary to figure out how much time I spend on travel research.

I really enjoy doing it and I do it all the time.

A friend told me I could save time by just contacting a travel agent.

That was a very good idea.  I found some great resorts and a good deal I hadn't seen before.

I think I still did the same amount of online research.  The travel agent gave me new paces and ideas to research.  Any hotel or resort she mentioned led me to reading 20 - 30 reviews for each place.

Not only do I find some great places and deals, but I also have some inside knowledge before I get there.  Not everyone knows to make a reservation at the most popular restaurant as soon as soon as you check in.  Not everyone knows about the snorkeling area half a mile south.  Those are the things contained in the internet that are waiting to be found.

Do your research.

The more you do, the better your vacation will be and the more accurate your expectations will be,

Hello from a fellow travel research addict.

I think I might like it even more than the travel itself!

Weird too that we do all this research and then a week vacation goes by in a blink of an eye.  Leaves me wondering if it was all worth it, then I get home and realize how awesome the vacation was and how I really want to start planning the next one.

Hello fellow research junkies, I used to be in the same boat as you.  Would spend hours if not days doing research on the vacations my wife and I would take. We used to spend 1 to 2 weeks each winter down in the Caribbean.  Prior to us booking our vacation we would each try and do as much research as possible to find a place that would best fit us.  Looking at the various resorts website, reading blogs from people that have stayed at the resort, hitting up various travel industry websites to see what they rated each resort.  I think we spent more hours doing research on our next vacation then we actually spent on that vacation.  Pretty crazy I know, sometimes we would get to the resort and it was everything they said it was going to be, and yet there had been a couple of times where we get there to learn the resort isn't what we were expecting. We didn't let that bother us to much because we were on vacation but we would cross that resort off our list for future vacations.  If we were spending 4 to 5 thousand dollars for our vacations we wanted the best of the best. Then just over 2 years ago a friend of mine came to me and said Jonathan I think I found what you have been looking for with the vacations you guys take every year.  I said what do you mean, he asked me how many hours on average would we spend on line doing research on the next vacation we were looking to take.  I said any where from 20-40 hours.  He said what if you only had to spend 5 to 10 minutes.  I said your crazy, then he said what if you could not just take one major vacation each year but 2 to 3 for the price you are paying right now.  I said, I'm not into Time Shares man.  He said this has nothing to do with Time Shares, go on I said.  He proceed to tell me that he found an amazing company that does all the research for you, they even send people to the resorts prior to doing business with that resort.  What if you could go and stay at 4 & 5 stars resorts for penny's on the dollar.  I said yeah right, impossible.  He said what if you could say at a 5 star resort for $200 per person for a week.  I said that can't be done, he then said what if you could go on a 5 day 4 night cruise for $69? I said what are you smoking because your talking like a fool right now.  He said no I am serious, I found a way to travel at Wholesale instead of Retail and you only stay at the best of the best resorts.  I said if what you are telling me is true I want more information.  So he showed me a video explaining how all this works.  I was thinking to my self this is too good to be true, there has to be a catch.  Well fast forward from the time I saw the video which was in Oct. 2009 until today, and there is no catch, in fact it was better than what I thought it was going to be.  My wife and I have been on 23 vacations, with this concept. It blew my mind on the first trip that we took with this company because they delivered on everything they promised and even went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were handled.  On a most of our trips we had a Host that the company would send, they would have all of the in's and out's about the resort and the local community as far as night life, shopping and various excursions that were offered in the area.  Truly amazing being able to travel like a VIP and get the same service a celebrity or rock star would receive. I could go on and on but I gotta run and pick a friend up at the air port.  Have an amazing week, and hit me up if you would like more information.

Hi Jonathon - Sounds like a deal where you get a reduced price vacation as long as you refer a bunch of other people?  Is this for

Hi Nathan- There's no need to refer a bunch of other people to get the best vacation prices in the industry. You can become a member and not tell a sole about it, it doesn't matter but when you take one of the trips at prices you can't get anywhere else.  You are going to have people asking you how you were able to take that vacation at that amazing price. It's your call if you want to let them know how you were able to get the price you did. All if this is powered by a company called Rovia.
