Starwood resorts is now offering all inclusive vacation packages at some of their resorts in Mexico. The Westin, Sheraton and La Meridien resorts in Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos are participating in the program.
It is still possible to pay just the room rate at these resorts. This means guests on the all inclusive plan must wear wrist bands or have some other form of expense tracking. Marriott resorts use a system where all meals and beverages are charged to the room with deductions being made at the end of the stay. Something similar might be happening at these resorts. If anyone knows how these resorts are administering the all inclusive plan, please share the information in the comments section.
Starwood is also moving forward with their plans to open a completely all inclusive resort in Costa Rica. The Westin Playa Conchal will open in May after massive renovations are done to the property formerly known as the Paradisus Playa Conchal. The resort will be a 406 suite luxury property with a Robert Trent Jones golf course.
Starwood is opening five new resorts in the Latin and South American region, but no details have been announced concerning all inclusive plans.
