Palace Resorts Kids Stay Free Deal Includes Single Parents
Palace Resorts has a deal where one or two kids 12 and under can stay free at any of their resorts through August 31st. The best part of this deal is that the kids stay free as long as one adult is staying with them.
When you look at many of the "kids stay free" deals being offered by all inclusive resorts, there usually is a condition that there needs to be two paying adults within the room. This condition has frustrated single parents for many years.
Some resorts allow single parents to take advantage of the kids stay free promotions, but they need to pay a fee for the lack of having another adult in a double occupancy room. These fees can sometimes be up to 40% of what a second adult would normally pay. This makes all inclusive resort vacations very expensive for single parents.
Hopefully more all inclusive resorts will offer more options for single parents and their children. The resorts could use the business and the single parents and kids could use a nice vacation that doesn't include penalty fees for their situation.

I wonder if resorts are offering this because they are having trouble filling rooms during the recession or if they are finally giving single parents the chance to take their kids on an all inclusive resort vacation. If it is just due to the low occupancy rate during the recession, I wonder if the single adult surcharge will return.

Whatever the reason is for this type of policy, it is a good one. My sister is a single parent and she has similar problems finding resorts that will allow her to reserve a room and pay a fair price with out double adult occupancy. She avoids all icnlsuive resorts for this reason and usually just stays at hotels when she goies on vacations. I'll tell her about Palace Resorts. Thanks for the info.

Real Resorts has also announced a special deal for single parents. The "Single With Kids Program" allows single parents to reserve a suite and bring one child 12 and under for free. Additional children can stay in the room at a rate of $59 per night.
