Palace Resorts Continue Rebranding With Wyndham Name

A few weeks ago it was announced that the Moon Palace Resort in Punta Cana will become a Hard Rock resort.

Now Palace Resorts is announcing that four of their all inclusive resorts will carry the Wyndham brand name. Palace Resorts will continue to own and manage the resorts.

The move is part of an effort to attract more customers to the resorts by using well known brand names. Palace Resorts also wants to take advantage of Wyndham's much greater sales, marketing, and distribution system. The resorts will qualify for Wyndham's reward points program.

Three of the Palace Resorts will become Wyndham Grand Resorts. These include the Beach Palace in Cancun, the Isla Mujeres Palace near Cancun and the Playacar Palace in Playa del Carmen.

The Xpu-Ha Palace will be known as a Wyndham resort, but without the "Grand" designation.

It is not known at this time if more Palace Resorts will be rebranded or how this effects the Palace Resorts membership program. If you have additional information, please post it in the comments below.

A timeshare salesperson told me that the Wyndham buy-in will not help the members (I am a member of Palace and Wyndham). The Wyndham name will help with marketing exposure as will the Hard Rock Cafe name at the Dominican Republic resort. All the resorts are still owned and operated by Palace.
