All Inclusive Blog New Top 10 All Inclusive Resorts Rankings For 2010

Rankings of the top ten all inclusive resorts are always fun to look at. The latest is from Jennifer Cox at CraveOnline.com. A little skepticism is warranted since her other online articles deal with everything from tech gadgets to the cars rappers drive. Still, the list is worth a look:

1.) The Homestead in Hot Springs Virginia - A very fine luxury resort no doubt. However, it is not a traditional all inclusive resort. In order to get an all inclusive resort experience you have to sign… Continue

All Inclusive Blog ME Cancun Is Now An All Inclusive Resort

ME Cancun is in the process of becoming an all inclusive resort. While the other ME resort properties in Cabo, Madrid and Barcelona will not become all inclusive resorts, the Cancun property is already making the transition.

The interesting part of the change is that the ME Cancun will welcome visitors who are not staying at the resort. The bars, restaurants and spa will serve both the all inclusive resort guests and people staying at other resorts. Instead of wearing an armband, the ME… Continue

All Inclusive Blog All Inclusive Resorts Offering Deals To Lure Recession Hit Customers

All inclusive resorts are offering deals to customers who have reduced their spending due to the recent recession. Many studies have shown that customers are more likely to make a purchase if they think they are getting a good deal. The problem is that some of the deals being offered are good while others are just marketing gimmicks designed to increase bookings. A perfect example of this is the never ending sale at Sandals and Beaches resorts. Commercials promote the savings people can get if… Continue

One of these all inclusive summer camps is The Point in Saranac Lake, NY. This is an ultra luxurious resort where only a few rooms are available in four lodges that overlook a beautiful lake in the Adiro… Continue

All Inclusive Blog Off Season Reviews Not As Valuable

Most of us check review sites before making a reservation at all inclusive resorts. The problem is that many of us research resorts during the off season and read reviews from people who visited the resorts in the off season. For example, if you look at reviews right now for the NH Real Arena resort in Punta Cana, you will see a lot of negative reviews. If you dig deeper, you realize that most of the problems are a result of off season factors. The staff is only about half of what it is in the… Continue

All Inclusive Blog Student Project: All Inclusive Vacation For Under $500

There's an interesting story in the Washington Post where four college students try to find a five day all inclusive resort vacation for under $500 - including round trip airfare and transfers.

The first thing they learned was that they probably would not find a five day vacation for under $500. They found a few options in the $600 - $700 range, but getting below $500 would have required a… Continue

James Scott Sandals Once In A lIfetime Offers Not So Special

I saw an advertisement from Sandals today with the phrase "once in a lifetime offers" as the tagline. The ad got my attention so I wondered what type of special offer they were promoting. Unfortunately, it was the same 60% off "sale" they are always promoting. How can Sandals say that 60% off is a once in a lifetime offer when the offer is available year round? People get tricked into thinking it is a once in a lifetime offer or something that needs to be purchased before the sale countdown clo… Continue

All Inclusive Blog All Inclusive Resorts In Cuba

Americans are not allowed to travel to Cuba. According to the current embargo, a fine of $50,000 and the confiscation of property is possible if Americans travel to Cuba. Reports of actual fines are very rare, but it is not recommended to take the chance. Since American tourists and American all inclusive resort companies can't do business in Cuba, most of the resorts and travelers are from Europe, Mexico, and Canada. Paradisus, Iberostar, Sol Melia, Tryp, etc... have all inclusive resorts in C… Continue

All Inclusive Blog All Inclusive Resorts Not Always All Inclusive

With the growing popularity of all inclusive resorts, some hotels and resorts are starting to use the words "all inclusive" in their marketing efforts even though they are not all inclusive resorts. The most recent example is a video posted on YouTube about The Beach Club Gulf Shores in Alabama. The description of the video mentions that it is an "all inclusive" resort. However, when you watch the video, the resort employee says they are an "all inclusive" resort because once you get there ever… Continue

The marketing manager at Grand Velas resorts had a good idea recently: offer social networking classes as part of the all inclusive vacation package.
