Club Med In China

Club Med is building all inclusive resorts in China. The Chinese company Fosun recently partnered with Club Med and bought around 7% of Club Med stock.

Not only does Club Med want to expand their all inclusive resorts into China, but they want China to be their second largest destination within the next five years. Current plans include the building of at least five all inclusive resorts in China before 2015.

Club Med already has sales offices in China. Over 20,000 Chinese tour… Continue

Trip Review: El Dorado Royale & Akumal Snorkeling

My wife and I just got back from our vacation to the El Dorado Royale all inclusive resort on the Riviera Maya south of Cancun. We were very pleased with our entire trip.

The only reason we were able to go to the El Dorado Royale is because we found a really good deal through Funjet Vacations. We usually stay at a lower level of resort, but the deal we found allowed us to be pampered for a week at the same price we usually pay for other resorts.

Bring Your Own Cup

When going to an all inclusive resort, consider taking your own beach cup. All inclusive resorts often have small plastic glasses so it is beneficial to take a larger cup that can hold more (less trips) and be insulated from the sun and wider so it doesn't tip over as easily while producing less waste.

Interesting. Not only is the sale always available, but I wonder how much of a sale it really is. 60% off of what? It seems like the rates at Sandals and Beaches are still pretty high compared to similar resorts even with the 60% off.

I'm trying to find a good deal for the Akumal Beach Resort south of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I have heard some really good things about the beaches and the snorkeling in that area. I'm not a scuba diver, but I love to snorkel.

I think the name would make sense if it was a resort with a ton of waterslides and activites for children, but since this is a resort for adults, the name is making me scratch my head as well. I wonder if the Hedonism name is being retired because…

I wonder if resorts are offering this because they are having trouble filling rooms during the recession or if they are finally giving single parents the chance to take their kids on an all inclusive resort vacation. If it is just due to the low occ…

I mainly use smaller online travel agencies. I seem to find good deals that include both airfare and a resort package. I'm not opposed to using a travel auction site, but I guess I am happy with the way I shop for travel and don't have a reason to t…

The Iberostar Bavaro is a good choice. Here's the review for the Iberostar Bavaro in Punta Cana. There also is a highly ranked section of the Iberostar resort complex with no children called the Iberostar Grand Bavaro. Also check out the Gran Bahia…
