Riu Palace Mexico Review:

A well reviewed and ranked all inclusive resort for singles, couples, and families. The resort is beautiful and the staff goes out of their way to please their guests.

Make sure you know what the bedding situation wil be. Some room categories have king size beds while others have two twin beds that are not as convenient for romantic evenings. Most of the rooms have liquor dispensers, mini-fridges, and private balconies.

The food is good with huge buffets and good specialty restaurants. You need to get in line each morning to get reservations for the restaurants, but it is worth it, especially for the fusion restaurant called Krystal. The specialty restaurants require long pants and sleeves for men. If the reservation system (or dress code) is too much of a hassle for you, the buffets are a good option. They have a different theme each day with a wide variety of choices.

Exchange privileges allow you to use the bars, restaurants, beaches, and services of next door Riu resorts. This greatly increases your options for food and leisure activities, but dinner must be eaten at your own resort. The fitness center at the Riu Palace Mexico is a little small, but you can use the larger fitness center at the Riu Yucatan.
