Riu Emerald Bay Review:
A huge all inclusive resort for singles, couples, and families. One
of the newest Riu resorts. The buildings and grounds are very
impressive. As with most Riu resorts if you expect a five star
experience you will be disappointed. Otherwise most people are
happy with their stay.
The staff is great as they go out of their way to make sure
everyone is satisfied. They appreciate and accept tips. There is no
pool or beach service.
Most people enjoy staying on the higher floors to get better views
and less noise at night. The rooms are nice and this Riu is
reported to have fairly soft beds which is an improvement compared
to the older Riu resorts.
The beach is nice, but the water has jellyfish in it and can be a
little rough at times. The beach is a public area which means there
are local vendors trying to sell you their stuff. The resort has
put up a rope to create a private resort area of the beach. A
simple "no thank you" usually sends them on their way.
