Best Punta Cana All Inclusive Resort?

I'm trying to get opinions for what the best all inclusive resort in Punta Cana is.

I like the idea of staying within the Barcelo or Riu resort complexes in order to have access to the restaurants, bars, and entertainment options of numerous resorts.

I also like the Dreams and Secrets resort company, but they might be a little too high end for my budget.

I'm pretty sure I want to be on the north end of Punta Cana on Bavaro beach. I would consider one of the more southern resorts, but being on Bavaro beach would sway my decision.

Has anyone been to an all inclusive resort in Punta Cana that you would recommend?

Permalink Reply by lea on May 22, 2009 at 12:18pm: I think it is odd that the two Paradisus all inclusive resorts in Punta Cana are AAA Four Diamond resorts, but they seem to score really low on most user generated rankings such as Trip Advisor rankings.

Does anyone know why this is the case?

Is it because the people who go to Four Diamond resorts have really high standards?

Is it because the AAA diamond ranking system is not to be trusted?; ▶ Reply to This

It is highly ranked and is part of the Iberostar resort complex which means you get to use the bars, restaurants, and activities of the other resorts. This greatly increases the number of options you have for food and entertainment during your vacation. All of the resorts are located right next to each other.; ▶ Reply to This
